The Church of Pakistan has felicitated Brigadier (R) Dr. Nayer Fardows over his new assignment as Chairman BoD, FC College University saying it was yet another feather in his cap. Prominent educationist and Principal Edwards College Peshawar Dr. Nayer Fardows who has been serving the education sector of the country in various positions, it may be mentioned, has also been entrusted with the responsibilities of the Chairman Board of Governors of the historic FC College University Lahore. The decision to this effect was taken by the Board of Directors of FC College University Lahore in its meeting held on 8 November 8.
The FCCU being one of the prestigious and leading universities of Pakistan was Established in 1864 and the University has been served by distinguished educational leaders and teachers throughout its history. FCCU is an HEC-recognized, W-category University. It currently has more than 6000 students, 220 full-time faculty members with over 100 PhDs. The new Chairman BOG FCCU Doctor Nayer Fardows is professionally qualified from Harvard University and Higgaii Institute USA, Cambridge University UK, Oxford University UK, LUMS Lahore and NUST Islamabad. He possesses more than 35 years of teaching /research experience of serving as Dean of BMAS, at National University of Sciences and Technology, Director of Study Pakistan Military Academy Kakul.
Besides he also served as Director Research National Defense University Islamabad, Director Human Resource Development Pakistan Army Education Corps, Director of Studies Army Burn Hall Colleges Abbottabad and Director Federal Government Educational Institutions. The Churches of Pakistan sounded optimistic that Brig Nayer appointment as Chairman FCCU will go long way in furthering the education standards in Pakistan.
