Deputy Commissioners of entire Hazara Division constituted special teams to inspect shops, mandis, markets & Flour mills following the directives of Chief Minister and Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtukwa while Commissioner Hazara Division chaired a series of meetings to control price hike and issued directions to all concerned. According to handout issued by the office of Commissioner Hazara, 6300 shops have been checked/inspect during last one week and a fine of Rs. 28 Lac has been recovered on account of overcharging/hoarding from the violators.
Similarly, 250 persons were arrested on this account while All 31 flours mills have been monitored constantly at all levels by the Magistrates. Magistrates along with Food and Agriculture officials are visiting fruit, vegetable and grain mandis daily to fix prices and collect all necessary data in order to control the prices in order to make them affordable.
The statement further claimed that Commissioner Daily hold price meetings via Video Link with Deputy Commissioners. The Chief Secretary holds meetings with the Commissioners on a daily basis. It is worth mentioning here that Atta and Sugar are not available in Utility Stores of Hazara Division.
