The terms of Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) Chairman and eight of its members will end on November 7, it was learnt on Wednesday.
A summary for the appointment of the new chairman and members will soon be forwarded to the Law Ministry, sources said.
Besides CII Chairman Qibla Ayyaz, the other council members who will retire on November 7 are Qari Abdur Rashid, Pir Roohul Hussain Moin, Dr Muhammad Raghib Hussain, Sahibzada Sajidur Rahman, Allama Abdul Hakeem Akbari, Khurshid Ahmad, Malik Allah Bakhsh and Arif Hussain Wahdi.
Maulana Ghulam Muhammad Sialvi has died before completing his term as CII member.
