As many as 32 more patients of Coronavirus died overnight lifting the death toll to 3,957 and 890 new cases emerged when 10,954 tests were conducted.
This was stated by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in a statement issued here on Wednesday. He added that 32 more patients of COVID-19 lost their lives lifting the death toll to 3,957 that constituted 1.6 percent death rate.
Shah said that 10,954 samples were tested which detected 890 cases that constituted 8.1 percent current detection rate. He added that so far 2,675,845 tests have been conducted against which 243,682 cases were diagnosed, of them 91 percent or 222,037 patients have recovered, including 1030 overnight. CM said that currently 17,688 patients were under treatment, of them 16,796 were in home isolation, 12 at isolation centers and 880 at different hospitals. He added that the condition of 800 patients was stated to be critical, including 88 shifted to ventilators. Out of 890 new cases, 601 have been detected from Karachi, including 202 from East, 125 Korangi, 101 Central, 81 South, 64 Malir 28 from West.
Mirpurkhas has 31, Hyderabad 29, Kamber 27, Matiari 23, Badin 21, Dadu 20, Jacobabad 18, Sanghar 15, Shaheed Benazirabad 13, Tando Muhammad Khan 12, Larkana, Umerkot, Nausheroferoze, TandoAllahyar and Ghotki 9 each, Khairpur 5, Sukkur 3 and Thatta 1. The chief minister urged people of the province to follow SOPs.
