3.2 magnitude earthquake jolts Karachi, no casualties reported

Karachi experienced a magnitude 3.2 earthquake with tremors felt in various areas, according to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC). The earthquake’s epicentre was located 15 kilometers northeast of Karachi, at a depth of 22 kilometers, as reported by the NSMC. Despite the intensity of the quake, there were no casualties or reports of damage to property from any part of the city. Tremors were felt in several areas of Karachi, including Saddar, Clifton, Old City Area, Korangi, and adjacent regions.

This seismic event follows a similar occurrence on April 24, when a 3.1 magnitude earthquake struck the Malir district of Karachi. Tremors were reported in Malir, Landhi, Quaidabad, Kathore, and Gadap Town, with the epicentre identified as New Malir Karachi, at a depth of 12 kilometers, according to the NSMC.
