23 travellers from Punjab shot dead by terrorists in Balochistan’s Musakhel

QUETTA – Terrorists killed 23 travellers from Punjab in Musakhel area of Balocistan province of Pakistan after removing them different trucks and buses.

SSP Musakhel Ayub Achakzai said armed individuals intercepted the vehicles on the inter-provincial highway and forced some passengers off them. Later, the terrorists killed the travellers by opening firing at them.

He added that the militants also set ten vehicles on fire. Police and Levies arrived at the scene and transferred the bodies to the hospital. Authorities have begun further investigations into the incident.

Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind condemned the Musakhel incident and noted that Musa Khel is located near Dera Ghazi Khan, where smaller roads typically have less security. The spokesperson mentioned that terrorists took advantage of the darkness of night to carry out the attack.

Meanwhile, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti strongly condemned the terrorism incident near Musakhel and expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased.

Bugti said that terrorists targeted innocent people. He vowed that both terrorists and their facilitators will be brought to justice.
