Islamabad Capital Police apprehended 18 outlaws including eight professional beggars from different areas of the city during the last 24 hours and recovered drugs and weapons from their
possession, a public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directions, the Kohsar police team arrested an accused namely Abdul Qadir and recovered 1009 gram heroin from his possession. The Golra police team arrested an accused namely Javed Khan and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession.
Likewise, the Sangjani police team arrested two accused namely Bakht Zahir Khan and Imran Khan involved in illegal gas refilling. The Khanna police team arrested an accused namely Ehsan Abbas and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession. Similarly, the Sihala police team arrested an accused namely Zulqurnain and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession. The Bhara Kahu police team arrested an accused namely Asif Shah and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession.
Moreover, the Nilore police team arrested an accused namely Muhammad Umer and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession.
