Islamabad Capital police conducted a search and combing operation in the jurisdiction of Shams Colony police station, a police public relations officer said. He said that, following the special directives of IGP Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, search and combing operations are being conducted in different areas of the city, to ensure the safety and security of the Islamabad citizens.
Following these orders, a joint search and combing operation was conducted in Shams Colony area by local police, CTD and Quick reaction teams under the supervision of SP CTD.
During the search operation 80 houses, 45 suspects and 20 motorbikes were checked. 10 suspects and 02 motorbikes were shifted to the police station for verification.
Moreover, 15 mobile phones, 08 USB’s, 03 passports, one 12 bore, 7mm Gun, one 9mm, 30 bore pistol, 02 SMG gun and a large amount of magazines and ammunition were recovered.
IGP Islamabad said that the purpose of the search and combing operations was to heighten the security in the Federal capital. All zonal officers were directed to continue these operations in their respective areas.
