Former president and PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Monday congratulated the party candidates Ali Musa Gilani and Abdul Hakim Baloch on winning the by-elections from Multan and Karachi.
He said that arrow, the party’s symbol, was in fact the symbol of victory. “Shabaash Jiyalo, Shabaash (well done workers, well done),” he commented in his message after the PPP’s win in two, out of total 11 constituencies, in which by-polls were held yesterday (Sunday, October 16, 2022).
Calling former foreign minister and PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi a ‘gypsy’, Zardari said that the people of Multan had settled scores with him by voting against his daughter in the by-election. “I thank you both the people of Multan and Malir, Karachi,” he commented.
Former president said that it was his and his son, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s promise to the people of south Punjab that they would have a separate province of their own. “It is a part of our party’s manifesto,” he said.
