A merciless youth stabbed his step-mother to death over domestic issues while she was saying prayers in Malir Saudabad area of Karachi. Police arrested the culprit with murder weapon.
Police said that Uzra gave money to her step-son Zain to bring birthday cake to celebrate birth anniversary of her younger son.
However, the accused instead of purchasing a cake bought a knife and stabbed his step-mother to death while she was busy in saying prayers.
The deceased had tied a knot with Kamran, father of the culprit some three months earlier.
The body was shifted to hospital for postmortem. Police arrested the accused with murder weapon and after registering a case against him started an investigation.
