A youth was killed while another left critically injured near the Shrine of renowned Sufi Saint Shah Aqeeq near Chuhar jamali town of district Sujawal late on Wednesday night.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Yonous Dars and the injured as Mohammad Bilawal.
According to onlookers Mohammad Younouns and his friend Bilawal were playing snooker at a local club alongside the main road when two unidentified men one of them armed with a knife stabbed Mohammad Younous to death however his friend sustained critical injuries while trying to resist the attack. The arm assailants managed to flee from there.
Police shifted the body of the deceased to the Civil Hospital Sujawal for medico-legal formalities and the injured was taken to Karachi following severity of wounds.
The father of the deceased in his statement to police said that his son was embroiled with Ali Raza Dars at a cricket match and alleged that this killing was an aftermath of that skirmish.
The first information report was yet to be registered, moreover the SHO, went on to claim that the area has been cordoned off to detain the miscreants.
