A woman and her two children have been murdered in PD 7 of Kabul city, security officials said, saying that one perpetrator who confessed to committing the murder was arrested.
The woman’s name was Idma. The two children were Misria, 12, and Munawara, 13.
According to officials, Idma and her two children were murdered by her driver who intended to steal her jewelry.
The dead bodies were buried on Wednesday in Shuhadai Saliheen in Kabul.
Idma’s relatives said Idma was killed on Tuesday afternoon by a robber. They called on the government to hold the perpetrators accountable.
“How cruelly he killed my sister, I will never forgive him. I want him (murderer) executed,” said Fahim, Idma’s brother.
“When he (the murderer) came to her house, he first killed the mother. They don’t allow it on video—there are signs of fingers on her neck,” said Gul Mohammad Mohammadi, a relative.
Idma was an employee of the Ministry of Information and Culture who lost her husband three years ago. Since then Idma was taking care of her family alone.
The security officials said the perpetrator was arrested and he testified he killed the woman and the two children. “When we searched, there was someone named Ramin, we arrested him as the perpetrator,” said Mufti Fazal Hadi, an intelligence officer of PD 7.
“I went to the house of Idma–I was her driver occasionally–she accused me of stealing her jewelry–a dispute occurred so I killed her and choked her two children,” said Ramin, the accused murderer, as quoted by the intelligence department.
