In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has termed the permission to Hindu Yatrees and the en masse influx of non-local labourers to the territory as a well-thought out conspiracy to throw the people of Kashmir into a deep gorge of coronavirus pandemic.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC Kashmir President, Bashir Ahmad Butt in a statement issued in Srinagar, condemning the non seriousness and apathetic approach of the Indian fascist rulers, appealed the World Health Organization to come to the rescue of IIOJK people trapped in coronavirus pandemic and provide them necessary help to fight the pandemic.
The Hurriyat leader said that the fascist regime of India was deliberately endangering the lives of the people of Kashmir with the Covid-19 pandemic and using it as a method of widespread destruction.
He said, the only method to fight this disease is not strict curfew and lockdown as has been the policy of the authorities in IIOJK.
Bashir Ahmad Butt urged the United Nations and other international human rights groups to take appropriate action against the India’s inhuman behaviour, which is in not helping the people of Kashmir to come out of the Covid-19 catastrophe and ask India to create conducive atmosphere for resolving Kashmir dispute in accordance with the United Nations resolutions as early as possible.
It is because of the disputed nature of Kashmir and the illegal occupation of India over Kashmiris’ motherland which has been a root cause of miseries to the people of Kashmir and also a threat to the global peace, he maintained.
A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Tehreek-e-Istiqal led by Ghulam Nabi Waseem visited the residence of Hurriyat activist Ghulam Jilani in Sopore and expressed condolences with him over demise of his mother.—KMS
