PESHAWAR – Rains and gusty winds are likely in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday night and Thursday.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave prevails over upper parts.
Under these weather conditions, rains are likely at isolated places in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Mansehra, Battagram, Abbottabad and Kurram on Wednesday night. Gusty winds are expected in plain areas.
On Thursday, dry weather is expected in most districts of the province. However, rains are likely at isolated places in Chitral, Dir, Swat and Kohistan.
Peshawar’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 31-33°C on Thursday and Friday.
Meanwhile, hot and dry weather prevailed in most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours. However, upper districts received scattered rains.

Dera Ismail Khan remained the hottest place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where the maximum temperature was recorded at 35°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 74 per cent.
In Peshawar, maximum temperature was recorded at 32°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 81 per cent.
