LAHORE – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mainly cold and dry weather for Lahore and most parts of Punjab during the next two days.

According to the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.

A westerly wave is still affecting northern parts of the country.

Under these conditions, cold and dry weather is expected in Lahore and most parts of the province on Friday night and the next two days.

However, rain-thunderstorm is likely in Murree, Galliyat and surroundings on Friday night.

Moderate to dense fog/smog may cause closure of portions of Motorways (Peshawar-Swabi, Swabi-Islamabad, Sialkot-Lahore, Faisalabad-Multan and Multan-Sukkur) and disturb vehicular movement on National Highway.

In Lahore, minimum temperature is likely to remain between 11-13 degrees Celsius on Saturday and 10-12 C on Sunday.

Murree remained the coldest place in Punjab where mercury dropped to 06 C.
