World Bank Sector Leader for Sustainable Development (SSADR) Abdul Razzaq F. Khalil on Thursday called on Administrator Karachi, Sindh Government spokesman and CM Adviser on Law Barrister Murtaza Wahab and discussed development projects in Karachi.
Municipal Commissioner Karachi Afzal Zaidi was also present on the occasion.The Administrator termed the ongoing development works in Karachi under the World Bank as better for the city and hoped that the completion of these works would benefit the citizens of Karachi.
He said that World Bank would be provided all kinds of support by Karachi Metropolitan Corporation.
[8:09 PM, 8/26/2021] Liaquat Mughal: Karachi-Administrator Karachi, Sindh Government Spokesperson and CM Advisor on Law Barrister MurtazaWahab on Thursday held separate meetings with officials of Finance Department, Law Department and Engineering Department of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation and issued necessary instructions.
Meanwhile, in a meeting with the officers of the engineering department, the Administrator called for the early completion of development programs in the city.
Director General Technical KMC ShabihUlHasnain Zaidi and other officers of Works Department and Chief Engineer KDA Khalid Masroor were also present on the occasion.
The Administrator Murtaza Wahab said the objective of infrastructure development is to provide maximum facilities to the citizens in their daily life.
Administrator Karachi, Sindh Government spokesman and CM Adviser on Law Barrister Murtaza Wahab said that in a big city like Karachi, the importance of these projects is doubled because the common man has a direct connection with them.
Wahab directed the officers to pay special attention to quality in development works and give priority to the needs of the people.
He directed that development works should be completed within the stipulated time and there must be continuous monitoring as the fruitful results of development works can be achieved if they are completed on time.
Meanwhile, the Administrator Karachi held a meeting with officials of KMC’s Law Department including Legal Adviser AzraMuqeem also met and discussed legal issues of KMC.
Administrator Karachi, Sindh Government spokesman and CM Adviser on Law Barrister Murtaza Wahab directed that full follow up of KMC cases pending in the courts should be ensured and officers must keep in view the interest of the institution and the city.
