Vice Chancellor of University of Okara Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zakria Zakar has said that every citizen should register for vote as right to vote empowers individuals to change their lives and society at large. He stated this while addressing a seminar here at the varsity on Thursday. The event was organized in connection with the National Voter Day that is commemorated every year on December 7th. A large number of students and UO staff attended the seminar. The speakers highlighted the importance of vote in a democratic society and urged the participants to register their votes and use this right wisely so that their social and economic problems could be addressed. ‘Vote is the beauty of democracy which is the only solution of modern day problems and challenges.—INP
