Slanderous campaign
Pakistan is a constitutional parliamentary democracy with a written, unanimously adopted Constitution that defines the role of all constitutional office holders. All powers stem from the Constitution which is the supreme law. The 1973 Constitution adopted in letter and spirit what Quaid-i-Azam stated on 14 June 1948 that all paid civil and uniformed officers of the state are servants of the people and have no role in politics. MAJ reminded them of the significance of the Oath they take.
It is shocking, that if after over almost 70 years, the defence forces as an institution have decided to be apolitical as per the Oath they take, certain politicians, who have been beneficiaries of political engineering in the recent past are being critical of them. There is an orchestrated and planned slanderous campaign launched from abroad by a few Overseas of Pakistani origin social media groups to malign and bring into disrepute both our defence forces and judiciary. This must stop immediately.
Any individual or group, including any state institution, which takes part in politics, in defiance of the Constitution, is open to criticism. As per the 1973 Constitution, unquestionable individual sovereignty is a Divine right of the Almighty (SWT) and His directives are binding on all Muslims. However, in matters of day-to-day governance, policy matters and political issues that may confront a Muslim majority state, this is delegated to the collective will of the citizens of that country to be decided through consensus or majority vote.
Pakistan has suffered because of the involvement in politics of state institutions, which deprived citizens of their right for self-rule, expressed through their elected representatives to achieve Quaid’s vision of a modern democratic welfare state which he elaborated upon on 11 August 1947.

Service industry
Whenever we think of a transaction, we are either buying a product or obtaining services from an organization. Today I want to focus on one of the biggest sectors of the service industry. Given the political instability in our country, financial ups and downs, social misconception via social media apps, we still don’t have a single clue as to how or what a service is, how it is provided effectively to retain the client.
We have to go to basics and I hope this article can help our people understand that Services are the non-physical, intangible parts of our economy, as opposed to goods, which we can touch or handle. Services, such as banking, education, medical treatment and transportation make up the majority of the economies of the rich nations. They also represent most of the emerging nations’ economies.
Let’s take the transportation industry, for example. My recent trip from Lahore to Islamabad in one of the biggest transportation companies had absolutely no idea what they were doing. They have no idea how to even notify the clients where your terminal is, they have absolutely no clue when the coach will be in the terminal, in this scorching sun, not a single fan is working and they are earning money hand over fist. It’s just a shame that authorities don’t even have any check and balance on these transportation giants.
The solution for the improvement of the service industry is in the service industry which is known as Training and Consulting. It is Absolutely Necessary that these service giants get in touch with training companies like Aspire, Impact etc., which are the market leaders in training and development and up-scaling of the employees. We should strive and get our services to the next level to contend with upcoming competition.

Workers union day
I feel depressed that Zimbabwe can’t celebrate workers day that was on the 1st of May 2022. The unemployment rate is about 80%, leaving the majority to be destitute. Some of the parents are ending up making their children drop out of school at an earlier age selling in the busiest streets which is a big risk of getting heated by cars. Women and young girls are involved in prostitution to earn a living because of poverty risking their lives in getting STD’s like HIV, gonorrhoea and herpes.
Men are involved in stealing in the central business district. Many Zimbabweans are migrating to other countries to have a better standard of living. Youths are involved in drugs because they have nothing to do, some are qualified but there are no jobs.
This is caused by the corrupt evil ZANU PF government which is reckless in protecting their citizens. Powerful states like the United Kingdom, USA, Canada, Japan and Australia should sew President Mnangagwa and his proxies to resign immediately because he failed Zimbabwe for 4 years since he gained power.

Dirty streets
I find it really difficult to comprehend why beloved country Zimbabwe’s major cities have become dirty streets, with infrequent street cleaning, waste collection issues, uncovered rubbish that is blown as a result of the environment and weather conditions and increased litter bugs. Our once known and once prided as the “sunshine city” of the southern African nation.
The streets have health and environmental consequences which are dreadful causing dysentery and cholera spreading through flies attracted to stench of rubbish. One wonders why the local authority and municipality’s hearts have become terribly cold and almost everything they once loved about their job responsibilities has deteriorated and vanished.
It seems like the spark to serve the community in maintaining healthy, clean, non-infected, lively streets is permanently out of those in relevant positions. The lack of support for the municipalities working with a demoralizing government has contributed to them experiencing an attitude of bore out which is a chronic boredom, because they are unable to deliver accordingly.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa should identify ways of restoring sunshine city, a clean country, and take pride in maintaining a clean environment that is not a health hazard to its citizens. The 2023 presidential election is approaching hence each citizen has an opportunity to vote – My Vote My Right.
