Sialkot once again bleeds

It is with deep sorrow and pain, feel as a nation we hangdog and I come to terms with the author Anatol Lieven—in his book, Pakistan a Hard Country—wherein wrote he barefaced and harsh/stark reality:

Pakistan is divided, disorganized, economically backward, unjust, often savagely oppressive towards poor and women and home to extremely dangerous forms of extremism and terrorism – ‘and yet it moves’, and is in many ways surprisingly tough and resilient as a state and a society. It is also not quite as unequal as it looks from the outside..

Owing to some religious extremists – creating chaotic and lugubrious ambiance – Pakistan’s soft and smooth image is being tarnished in the eyes of globalized world.

On the contrary, an immature and tactless remarks of our so-called politicians further beef up the mindset of fundamentalists and religious fanatics and—lack of justice and paucity of accountability, too contribute to it. In the long run, how long will we endure such a beast and seamy acts or will we have to live with it till our last breath?

Horrific incident

I’m in trauma from the time I watched the inhuman happening in Sialkot. The mob killing of a Sri Lankan man has shacked and puzzled the whole humanity.

This is unequivocally a barbarous and horrific attack in the name of religion to slain masses, foreigners and minorities in Pakistan.

Worth mentioning, Islam is the religion of peace accepted globally, but its followers are the worst. There is no room for violence and extremism in Islam.

However, keeping in their archaic and dark beliefs, fanatics religious fundamentalists are propagating and tarnishing the image of Islam globally.

Furthermore, this is disastrous for global image of our country.
The SL government has asked Pakistan to serve justice to lynched man who was killed and then burnt in the case of blasphemy.

Therefore, the incumbent government should take some immediate actions against the mob who lynched the man.

Nevertheless, if PTI government remains fence-sitter and keeps mum over this lethal attack, it will trigger even more formidable and unbearable ramifications in the global arena.

Foreign investment and trade will be at the verge of apocalypse and will start enervating in the country. Thus, such religious fundamentalist are posing storm of threats to the betterment of Pakistan.

Economics
of crime

Both — crime and unemployment — are on the rise across the country. The high rate of homicide and suicide is also reported by the print, electronic and social media, but the ruling elite are only concerned with the capital accumulation. Those ‘somewhat” satisfied in this society, they also know the tactics of making money.

The investors and entrepreneurs invest below their optimal levels because of a lack of credibility of our law enforcement agencies and incredibly expensive and the judicial process tedious.

The growing urbanization and the rising inequality are the two other major challenges being faced by the society.

All this what we see and experience in our Pakistani society today is an evidence of a lower moral threshold, but who cares here money matters. Let moralists and those who are law-abiding citizens suffer in this society.

Uncivilised man

Man has passed through different stages of life and came to the present world. In this long voyage man invented a lot of things of his need and started calling himself modern and enlightened but in the whole journey he did not learn how to share bed and board.

They began to call paleolithic people ignorant and uncivilized. If we think, are people in the present world different from stone age people? NO.

The cave dwellers killed themselves for their own interests and the the people nowadays are doing the same. They hurt and brutally murder each other for their own benefit. How can they call themselves developed and decorous? They are literally not. They are advanced in inventions but mentally they are still cave dwellers.

In the 21st century, the man should try to be mentally mature and calm instead of doing all great inventions. If people are not civilized, all these inventions are the source of destruction instead of the welfare of mankind and the planet.
