Ehsaas programme

The PTI Govt carried forward the altruistic programme calling it “Ehsaas Programme” initially initiated by PPPP Govt under the label of BISP (Benazir Income Support Programme).

The PTI Govt has been kind enough for showing such economic concerns for the poor masses of the country.

Ehsaas Kifalat Centres have been established in almost all the cities, towns and villages to facilitate the poor women in most promising manner that is appraisable.

But the grey side of the program is more alarming, when we see the daughters of eve standing in queues for the whole day waiting anxiously for their turn. They are pushed, teased and taunted during the process of disbursement of money.

The behaviour of in-charges of centres add fuel to fire of their woes, when around 500 & 1000 rupees are deducted from the actual amount, which is an open violation of the government guidelines.

The PTI Government must devise a tangible and feasible way of handing over the money to the nominated ones.

It can easily be done via post or the beneficiaries may be asked to get their accounts opened and the amount can easily be disbursed into their accounts without making them waiting in queues.

Building climate-ready communities

UNESCO celebrated the World Science Day for Peace and Development on November 10, 2021.

This year the celebration had been its 20th edition since the very initial World Science Day for Peace and Development. This time it has highlighted the significance of “Building Climate-Ready Communities.”

However, everywhere we look is interesting to be looked is just because of science. This day we have science to be thanked, for having made miracles possible. The subject worths our loudest claps. It is science that everyone is relaying on to survive.

It is science that everyone of us is vaccinated against Corona-virus. It is science that took all the challenges upon we even didn’t recognize the symptoms that the virus continued getting us sick. Science is not a matter of opinion but the facts and evidences.

Additionally, the World Science Day for Peace and Development provides chances to numerous organizations and authorities to attend the ceremonies so that keep awareness on Science Declaration, the Use of Scientific Knowledge and recommendations of Science Agenda. We have almost failed to appreciate the beauty of science.

We are promoting pseudoscience as a recipe for disaster. It is agreed and a truth that science is tough and heavily worded but gaining it requires interest. Science is a subject and a concept that everyone must embrace in order to make progress and move forward.

Need for GNC

Pakistan will continue to play for superpowers while we know that all our miseries are the outcome of mediocrity of our rulers, including politicians, civil and military bureaucracies and intelligentsia.

Remember, nobody is your permanent friend; only those nations and countries are respected in the comity of nations that are sincere, honest and committed to the well-being of their own nation and not adopting proxy gimmicks for others.

On 25 December 1979, Russia came on invitation of the then lawful Government to help restore law and order, OIC convened emergency foreign ministers meeting on 14th January 1980 in Islamabad.

Pakistan was sucked in unnecessarily, my views suggesting that Pakistan should not be partisan in two elephants fight because in such situation the ants are killed under the elephant’s feet. My view was published in the Urdu Daily Mashriq of 10 January 1980.

Today I am again disturbed over blunders we are repeating by holding secret talks with TTP and our security challenges starring in our face.

We are playing with our future without engaging all stakeholders in a transparent manner and first stop all the on-going intriguing.

In 1973-4 as President of Rotary Club of Lahore we started a campaign for public awareness in Lahore; banners and stickers were printed “Who lives if Pakistan dies and who dies if Pakistan lives” It’s time to create a national consensus on vital issues.

Food insecurity

Afghanistan, a beleaguered and a war-torn country, is fast tottering to down fall:, getting trapped with insurmountable problems, after retreat of the US troops.

Heavy number of population is undergoing loads of miseries. Therefore, it would not be amiss to envisage Afghanistan as a graveyard—a Horrendous abode to live.

Furthermore, following the pangs of misery and anguish, food insecurity is crippling and, therefore, devouring the life of the people of Afghanistan.

According to a report published by “Integrated Food Security Phase Classification”, nearly 19 million Afghans, or 45 percent of the total population, are experiencing high levels of food insecurity.

It is extremely hard for the vast population of Afghanistan to meet the appetite of hunger. Life has been very hard to survive in the country.

It is, therefore, dire need of time to look after incarcerated and sullen country. The country is undergoing exquisite degree of crises; making lives more deplorable.

The world needs to curtail, if not thoroughly obliterate, the burgeoning food insecurity from Afghanistan in order to repatriate the life of the masses into state of prosperity and wellbeing.
