Poverty

Poverty is a curse. Pakistan is a poor and underdeveloped country. Most of its population lives in adverse circumstances. Some reports reveal that more than 40% population of Pakistan lives below the line of poverty. The rising poverty is the result of poor governance and slow economic growth. A large number of people in our country do not have a proper place to live in. This miserable condition has given birth to an increase in beggars and needy people. In Pakistan, poverty is increasing day by day.
The government should take effective steps to reduce it. It should, for example, provide credit facilities and use labour-intensive techniques of production to reduce poverty. The people directly affected by the problem or issue of poverty in the community have to be actively and authentically participating in their efforts to fight poverty. It takes time to empower and facilitate affected people so they can become actors of their own development.

Ethics of journalism

It’s absolutely against the ethics of journalism to use derogatory language with any one especially females. The anchor went out of senses showing his might and harassed the female guest. As per the rules and ethos of journalism an anchor must be positive and should avoid putting influence on the guest speakers forcefully. One has to treat respectfully even if you have different opinion on any point of view. In Asian journalism, we have been criticizing Indian media because of their violent peculiarity. These kind of pejorative attacks are very often so seen in Indian programmes which are said to be extremely intense and ferocious in approach. However, as a nation, we have never seen any anchor to be personal on any of the issue in the programme.
Unfortunately, the language, attitude and body language did not look respectful. Mr. Imran Riaz forgot all ethics in his recent program while treating a female guest. As a responsible host, he ought to apologize the nation. The guest who was insulted must be passing through a trauma. Hence, following the rules, leaving the ego behind, a sorry note is necessary.

End of diarchy

We have been watching the same people getting elected again and again in the past for several years that took away the peace of the country as well as the wealth. They knew they had to set their game so nobody would be able to break their chain, and we can assume how they broke the infrastructure of the country by weakening the main federal departments. Which helped them for their personal interest not for the country. Then the federal agencies were badly run by these parties due to that, our most of the departments failed. Our bureaucracy was badly demoralized by them that made our police suffer too. Our military was always criticised by them because they knew, the military won’t let them dominate freely.
People left voting just because most of us believed and started questioning if our votes even count, no doubt industrialists vote are much important but we as Pakistanis must be given the importance regarding electing Our government.
There is a famous saying by the US “law maker” in past when he stated “I don’t have the problem with who is being elected as long as I am doing the nomination. So in Pakistan we can see a person without wealth or power can’t even think to reach that level where he can decide something for his country. The mafia will try to let you down in such a way that you will never try to rise again.

It should be appreciated that teachers play a crucial role in building societies. Banning PUBG?

PTA has imposed a temporary ban on mobile game PUBG across the country. Two children had committed suicide in Lahore when they were not allowed to play the game, on which the heirs of both the children had filed a petition in the Lahore High Court regarding the ban of the game. IG police had also sent a letter to PTA regarding closure of PUBG game. Remember, earlier two youngsters also took their lives and many young people from all over the world have lost their lives due to this monstrous online game.
In this game, two teams are formed and both the players kill each other with the help of weapons, from one player to 100 players who connect to each other through the Internet. Players from both teams disembark from the plane, first looking for weapons and then shooting the player in front of them. In the end, the surviving winner is given a “chicken dinner” in honour. The psychologists said that due to the game, young people are suffering from mental stress while the element of violence is also increasing among them. I think banning it can reduce violence and hate.
PUBG does preach violence like the killing of human beings and life-like weapons are involved. Thus it is highly unrecommended even if wisely managed and prioritized it may prove to be fatal for its players. The game is indeed addictive. Children or even adults addicted or moving towards the addiction are advised to get proper counselling regarding violence and killing and should replace it with some other games which at least do not involve online players killing each other.

Effects of climate change

The main effects of climate change are global warming, ozone depletion, sea level rise, melting glaciers and habitat destruction for many living organisms and the provocation of many diseases. According to recent studies, the melting of glaciers leads to the disappearance of animals. Depletion of the ozone layer results in many skin and respiratory diseases.
Globally, energy generation accounts for about 23 billion tonnes of carbon per year, which is a direct cause of global warming. The intensity of the summer and winter seasons has become more intense than the past. Frequency of floods has also increased drastically. Rain patterns are also disturbed by climate change. Now the number of rains per season is also decreasing due to the cutting of forests and many other environmental factors.

Mumbai will soon become another Wuhan

With the rising cases of Covid-19 in Mumbai in large numbers daily, the city is all set to become another Wuhan. Most people are taking this very lightly and are inviting the biggest trouble of their life.
The saddest thing is that people are thinking that they will die of starvation if they will not go to the market to buy essentials. This mentality will make Mumbai worse than Wuhan. If we will not understand this today, then there wont be anything left tomorrow in our hands — no humans, no money, no future will be left. Hence, it is better to take precautions at the earliest, than to suffer later on.
