Constitutional basis for right to protest

The Constitution of Pakistan enshrines the freedom of assembly as a fundamental right in Article 16. This article guarantees every citizen the right to assemble peacefully and without arms, subject to reasonable restrictions imposed in the interest of public order. This constitutional provision is a testament to Pakistan’s commitment to upholding democratic values and ensuring avenues for public discourse.

However, it must be cogently borne in mind by the political forces in particular that the privilege of holding protests guaranteed by the constitution of Pakistan should not be misconstrued by them. Those who resort to violence and vandalism that puts the security and integrity of the State at stake are out and out anti-state elements. The State must come down with a heavy hand on them. It must not allow such criminal elements to harm the interest if this nation and this country. Such anti-state elements must not be allowed to go scot-free. They must be brought to justice at all cost. Long live Pakistan!

Violation of fundamental rights

Does humanity still exist in the world? There’s a limit to everything, but does Israel not have limits to its cruelty? While we celebrate Ramadan, our Palestinian brothers and sisters have been enduring months of starvation. Why are there no boundaries for Israel’s actions? Ramadan is a month of blessings, yet our Palestinian brethren suffer silently. Almighty, we implore you to intervene, as the world remains a silent spectator.

Their patience is being exploited; they can’t endure this suffering any longer. Each day brings hundreds of deaths, hellish conditions, and the destruction of countless homes. Innocent Palestinians are enduring a massive violation of their human rights—rights to life, liberty, security, and religious practice—all being stripped away. Yet, no action is taken, and no questions are asked about this modern world’s cruelty.

Why are people becoming so insensitive in this era of modernization? Why is the International Human Rights Council silent? Isn’t this a blatant violation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights? Why are Palestinians being deprived of their rights by others? They lack essential medicines, first aid, electricity, fuel, and food. Their generators fail to operate, and they face a severe humanitarian crisis.

Muslim countries must take a strong stance against this cruelty and urge the United Nations and human rights councils to intervene in Gaza. Urgent aid is needed for Gazans and Palestinians.

Khuzdar tragedy

Amidst a concerning rise in crime, the tranquil town of Khuzdar was shaken by a horrifying incident, leaving the community in disbelief and mourning. Ali Hassan, President, Khuzdar Vegetable Market, fell victim to a brutal attack. Unidentified thieves not only stole from him but also mercilessly ended his life in front of his family.

Under the cover of darkness, the assailants violated the sanctity of Mr. Hassan’s home, displaying a blatant disregard for law and order as well as the cherished values of privacy and security. The incident has sparked outrage among residents, who demand immediate and decisive action to stem the rising tide of crime plaguing their city.

Khuzdar, renowned for its commerce and community spirit, has recently witnessed a disturbing surge in criminal activities, including theft, burglary and robberies of bikes and mobile phones. These crimes disrupt the lives and livelihoods of its inhabitants. The loss of Mr. Hassan not only devastates his family but also raises serious concerns about the safety and security of the town’s residents.

As we grieve the loss of a valued community member, it is imperative that we stand together in demanding peace and justice. We advocate for a safer environment where acts of violence and theft are not tolerated.

The people of Khuzdar deserve to live in a community where their safety is prioritized and where peace and prosperity can thrive once again.

Pak elderly education

In Pakistani society, the lack of educational opportunities for older individuals is a pressing issue often overlooked. Education is crucial for empowering the elderly to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.

However, low educational attainment among the elderly leads to subpar care and discrimination. Addressing this requires recognizing cultural norms that prioritize the young, alongside limited resources and gaps in government policies. Tackling these challenges is essential for fostering a more inclusive society.

To improve the quality of life for senior citizens, several actionable steps can be taken. Firstly, supporting and collaborating with NGOs dedicated to enhancing the well-being of elderly individuals is crucial. Additionally, conducting research to understand the specific needs and challenges of older persons will inform targeted policies and programs.

Intergenerational initiatives can help combat social isolation among the elderly, while public education campaigns and media coverage can raise awareness about their plight. Leveraging technology to address mobility and health issues, such as creating online learning platforms tailored to seniors’ needs, can also be instrumental.

In conclusion, a collaborative effort involving the government, civil society, and the community is essential to address the challenges facing elderly education in Pakistan. By acknowledging the importance of this issue, we can work towards creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for our elderly population.
