Karachi, Sindh Weather: Rain, Gusty Winds Forecast

Rains of varying intensity accompanied by gusty winds are expected in Karachi, Hyderabad and several parts of Sindh on Wednesday night and Thursday, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The PMD said a westerly wave is currently affecting upper and central parts of the country, while monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea are also penetrating these areas.

Under the prevailing weather system, most districts of Sindh are likely to experience partly cloudy conditions during Wednesday night and Thursday.

Rain accompanied by gusty winds is expected in Dadu, Qambar Shahdadkot, Larkana, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Sukkur, Khairpur and Shaheed Benazirabad, along with adjoining areas. Karachi and other coastal areas may receive drizzle.

Karachi is expected to record daytime temperatures between 35°C and 37°C on Thursday and Friday, while Hyderabad’s temperatures are likely to remain between 32°C and 34°C.

During the past 24 hours, most parts of Sindh experienced hot and humid weather, although isolated rainfall was recorded in lower Sindh.

Karachi recorded a maximum temperature of 37°C, with evening humidity reaching 67 per cent, while Hyderabad recorded 34°C with evening humidity of 61 per cent.
