Vice Chancellors unite in Islamabad: Joint effort urged to alleviate Palestinian suffering

Riphah International University Islamabad, at Riphah Institute of Public Policy, hosted a pivotal roundtable discussion on the ongoing Gaza crisis. The event convened distinguished vice-chancellors from various universities across the country, under the leadership of Prof Dr. Anis Ahmad, Vice Chancellor of Riphah International University Islamabad. Among the esteemed attendees were Vice Chancellor Air University, Air Marshal Javaid Ahmed, HI (M) (Retd.), Vice Chancellor ShifaTameer E Millat University Prof. Dr. Iqbal Khan, Pro-Rector Bahria University Islamabad Rear Admiral (R) Muhammad ArshidJaved SI (M), Rector Fast University Islamabad Dr. Aftab Ahmad Maroof, Rector National University of Technology NUTECH, Lt. Gen (R) Mr. MoazzamEjaz, Chairman Islamic Studies School AIOU, Prof Dr. Mohayyudin Hashmi, and Rawalpindi Medical University Prof. Dr. Naeem Akhtar.

The roundtable discussion underscored the urgent need for heightened awareness regarding the grave human rights violations perpetrated by Israel in Gaza.

The attendees unequivocally condemned these atrocities and pledged to mobilize collective efforts within higher education institutions to support the Palestinian people. In his address, Prof Dr. Anis Ahmad emphasized the importance of solidarity and action, urging for a concerted awareness campaign to shed light on the ongoing plight of the Palestinians.

The forum echoed a resounding call for unified action to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian populace and to stand against injustice.

This gathering of esteemed academic leaders marks a significant step towards fostering solidarity and advocacy for the rights and welfare of the Palestinian people.
