In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that the recent statements of UN General Assembly President, Volkan Bozkir, have once again underlined the need to resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the relevant UN resolutions to avert a nuclear catastrophe in South Asia.

The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said Hurriyat Conference has always cautioned the world of the dangers posed to the peace and stability of the region due to the non-resolution of the Kashmir dispute.

He maintained that Kashmir is an international dispute and it is the responsibility of the world community to fulfill its promises of providing the people of Jammu and Kashmir their democratic right to decide their fate by themselves.

The spokesman emphasized that India should reciprocate to the peace overtures of Pakistan and withdraw its illegal unilateral decisions of August 05, 2019 so that a dialogue could be initiated to find a durable solution of the Kashmir conflict.

APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Social Peace Forum, Advocate Devendar Singh Behl, addressing during a relief campaign launched by his party in Sundarbani and other areas of Jammu for the people affected by the COVID-19 said India is using every cheap tactic to maintain its illegal hold over Jammu and Kashmir.

Hurriyat leader and religious preacher Sarjan Barkati was released, today, from illegal detention of over three weeks.

Sarjan Barkati was arrested on 15th of last month from his residence in Zainapora area of Shopian for leading a protest demonstration against the Israeli bombardment on the innocent Palestinians.

Sarjan Barkati is well known among the Kashmiris for introducing innovative pro-freedom slogans in the territory after the martyrdom of prominent youth leader, Burhan Wani in 2016.

Meanwhile, the occupation authorities booked three illegally detained youth under draconian law, Public Safety Act in Pulwama district and shifted them to Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu.

A report released by Kashmir Media Service on the World Environment Day, today, maintained that air pollution crisis has touched extreme levels in India as major cities in the country continue to face catastrophic levels of pollution.

It said, India is ignoring the message of World Environment Day by annually holding big Hindu Amarnath Yatra in IIOJK.

The report deplored that Narendra Modi is ignoring threats that the huge Amarnath Yatra poses to the fragile environment of IIOJK.

It said that massive yatra can become a ‘Corona super spreader’ in the occupied territory just as Kumbh Mela proved in India.

Awami National Conference Vice President, Muzaffar Shah, in an interview in Srinagar refuted the recent remarks of the Indian Army Chief, Manoj Mukund Naravane, wherein he claimed that normalcy had returned in IIOJK.

Muzaffar Shah said that if the situation was normal in the territory then how a councilor was killed a few days ago in broad daylight.
Political analysts and experts in their interviews in Srinagar expressed concern over the repeated incidents of the recovery of highly radioactive uranium in India.

While talking to the KMS, they demanded strict action by International Atomic Energy Agency against India.—KMS
