Srinagar

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement and APHC leader, Khawaja Firdous has said that Kashmir is a disputed territory and the United Nations resolutions are the only mechanism to resolve it by ascertaining the will of the Kashmiri people.
Khawaja Firdous in a statement issued in Srinagar said the Kashmiris will not accept any solution which doesn’t represent their aspirations
Khawaja Firdous said, Jammu and Kashmir is an internationally-recognised dispute and India by offering economic and development packages could not change the nature and importance of the Kashmir dispute.
Restoration of articles 370 and 35A of the Indian Constitution cannot nullify the UN resolutions or satisfy the Kashmiris’ popular demand for the implementation of these resolutions, he added.
He condemned the gross human rights violations perpetrated by Indian forces and urged the international community to come for rescue of the people of IIOJK and persuade India to restore freedom of speech and expression denied to the Kashmiri people since long.—KMS
