Ulema reject ban on Yaum-e- Ali procession

No ban on procession on Maula Ali’s Daywas acceptable, said AllamaRaziJafar while addressing a joint press conference of Shia Ulema at the press club on Thursday. Mourning has the status of worship for Ahl al-Baytand even in the time of General Zia, mourning and processions were not banned, he stressed. “This practice cannot be stopped by any ruler. The Constitution of Pakistan gives us the right to mourn. No force can stop us from mourning.” The Shia Ulema announced that mourning processions will be taken out from Nishtar Park and different areas on the occasion of Maula Ali Day.
