LAHORE – The University of Health Sciences (UHS) on Tuesday approved the PhD and MPhil admission schedule for the session 2023-24, with application process starting on October 30.

The decision was taken at a meeting of UHS’s Administrative and Academic Advisory Committee (AAAC) chaired by Vice-Chancellor Professor Ahsan Waheed Rathore.

The university will admit candidates in five disciplines for PhD and 12 for MPhil degree programs this year.

Applications for admissions shall be accepted through an online portal while entry tests for PhD and MPhil will be held on November 19.

The admission process, including interviews, will be completed by December 31, and classes will commence from January 1, 2024.

The meeting also evaluated the performance of 270 MPhil and 75 PhD students. It was decided that the university and its affiliated colleges will shift to a semester-based system for B.S. degree programs starting this year. The Doctor of Physical Therapy degree program will also be shifted from annual to the semester system.

Approval was also granted for the establishment of a Career Counseling and Placement Center. This center will operate under the auspices of the University’s Alumni Association.
