Two UP labourers arrested for murder in Kashmir

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, police arrested two labourers hailing from the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh (UP) for murder of their colleague in central Kashmir’s Badgam district.

A police spokesman said that yesterday the Badgam police station received information that one person has been killed at brick kiln located at Labartal area of the district.

He said some labourers had a scuffle after heated argument over some issue. He added that a 35-year-old labourer, Maan Singh, resident of Bagdar district Shahjahanpur, UP, got seriously injured and accordingly shifted to SMHS hospital in Srinagar where he succumbed to his injuries.

During preliminary investigation, it came to fore that two accused were involved in the crime who were absconding after commission of offence

One accused, identified as Dinesh Singh, resident of Bagdar district Shahjahanpur, UP, was arrested from Nasrullapora area of Badgam while another accused Roop Ram, also resident of Bagdar, was arrested from Badgam Railway Station when he was trying to flee.—KMS
