Two culprits killed, two cops injured in Jhang encounter

Two under custody culprits were killed and two policemen injured in a police encounter here Tuesday-Wednesday midnight.

According to details, the police was taking two under custody robbers for recovery when their accomplices in attempt to free their cohorts attacked police van in jurisdiction of Mochiwala police station in Jhang.

The under custody culprits Shahid alias Shada and Riaz alias Villain were killed in firing of their accomplices while two cops were injured in the firing. The attackers fled the scene after retaliatory firing of police.

The bodies of killed culprits hailing from Chiniot and injured policemen were shifted to hospital.—INP
