The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter held a prayer session in Islamabad, today, to pay homage to Shaheed religious leader, Qazi Nisar Ahmed on his 28th martyrdom anniversary.
The APHC-AJK chapter Convener Mahmood Ahmed Saghar chaired the session. Prayers were offered for the high ranks of the martyrs in the meeting.
Mahmood Ahmed Saghar addressing on the occasion said that the people of Kashmir would never forget the religious and political services of Dr Qazi Nisar Ahmed.
He said that the unprecedented sacrifices given by the people of Kashmir for the right to self-determination would not be allowed to go waste and would definitely bring fruit.
Special prayers were also offered for the martyrs of Kashmir on this occasion.
Meanwhile, other APHC-AJK chapter leaders also paid rich tributes to Dr Qazi Nisar Ahmed on his martyrdom anniversary.
On the other hand, Hurriyat leader Jameel Mir while paying rich tributes to the youth recently martyred by Indian troops in Kulgam, Pulwama, Shopian, Kupwara and Srinagar districts, in a statement in Srinagar said that the vicious cycle of killings during continued cordon and search operations is meant to silence the Kashmiris’ true demand of right to self determination.
APHC-AJK leader Uzair Ahmad Ghazali in a statement issued in Muzaffarabad denounced the killing of the Kashmiri youth by Indian forces at the behest of the Indian government in IIOJK.
He said that Indian government carried organized genocide of Kashmiri youth to turn the Muslim majority of the territory into a minority.
He also paid tribute to the Kashmiri people for their bravery, courage, saying that despite all the difficulties, the Muslims of Kashmir stood as a leaden wall against Indian Hindutva government terrorism. “People of all regions of the state must play their role against the Indian occupation”, he added.—KMS
