Three people were killed in a traffic accident in Pul-e-Khumri, Baghlan province’s central district, in which a Corolla passenger car crashed with a lorry.

On Saturday, May 21st, three passengers of a Toyota Corolla type car were killed in a traffic accident, according to the Bakhtar state news agency.

The city of Pul-e-Khumri’s security officials and traffic authorities have not yet commented on the incident, and the cause of the accident has not been discovered.

In recent months, traffic accidents in the country have escalated, contributing to the fatality rate.

Last week, a car accident in Jawzjan province’s Qush Tepa district, killed eight people and injured 25 others.

It was reported by the health officials that some of the injured were in critical conditions.

Drivers’ disobedience of traffic laws, deteriorating roads, speeding, and the lack of traffic signs are the primary causes of traffic accidents in Afghanistan, with victims dying every day.—Khaama News Pres Agency
