Punjab Protests

Students in Lahore protested for a second day over an alleged rape involving a fellow student at a private college, despite government assurances and the formation of an investigative committee. Demonstrations spread to other cities in Punjab, with incidents of vandalism and traffic blockades occurring in Multan, Jahanian, and Zafarwal.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz formed a six-member committee to investigate, but police have claimed the allegations are unsubstantiated, with a security guard denying the incident.
