The three-day Pakistan Furniture and Living Expo that started on November 12 here at the Expo Center ended successfully on Sunday.
On the third and last of the annual furniture exhibition, President of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry Muhammad Idrees was the chief guest.
He paid tribute to the Karachiites, including the delegates of the exhibition, and said that the people of Karachi not only made the exhibition a success in spite of the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown but their participation in the exhibition with their families is a proof of their resilience and love for meaningful events.
He said that looking at the products in the expo made by Pakistani artisans showed that there was no shortage of sheer talent in the country.
Addressing the closing ceremony on Sunday, the event organizer Dr Nazish Faisal said that the media in particular played a vital role in making the event a success.
“The visitors attended the event accompanied by the families. The 45 large companies of the country not only displayed high quality, discounted items on display, which the citizens not only appreciated but also bought with much delight.”
Increased activity in the manufacturing sector will create employment opportunities, while foreign exchange and the dollar will stop flowing out. Ease of Doing Business is the vision of the Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Up to 70 percent discount was disbursed in this exhibition. People arrived from far and wide to buy their favourite items. Congratulations to the people of Karachi who participated in this fair with great enthusiasm.
It was heartening to seeing the products of skilled carpenters of Turkey.
The three-day exhibition in two halls of Karachi Expo Center provided a unique opportunity to see and buy versatile furniture of 45 brands of high quality of local and non-local origin.
Senior Vice President, Association of Builders and Developers (ABAD) Hanif Memon and Chairman Southern Region Sufyan Adhia also participated in the second session of the exhibition on the second day.
