Three arrested with fake currency notes

The Karachi police on Thursday arrested a three-member gang and recovered fake currency worth 9,20,000.

The police taking notice of the complaints of circulation notes launched operation in Samanabad area of Karachi.

During operation, three accused Ijaz, Haris and Saeed Khan were arrested with 184 fake currency notes of 5000.

The detainees in preliminary investigation revealed that they purchase Rs500, Rs1000 and Rs5000 fake currency notes worth one million from district Sadiqabad of Punjab against payment of Rs200,000 and use these fake notes in markets of Karachi.
