In another historic decision, Punjab Chief Minister MohsinNaqvi on Monday announced plan to give possession of plots to the affectees of LDA City, who were awaiting this decision from the last nine years. Sources in Punjab government said that handing over of plots possession to the LDA City affectees will start from December 31 in Block C. Commissioner Lahore Muhammad Ali Randhawa presented the LDA City plan to the Punjab CM. Possession of 19 plots of 2 kanals and 309 plots of one kanal, 664 plots of 10 marlas and 561 plots of 5 marlas will be given to affectess in C Block of said housing scheme. Overall, Punjab CM will provide relief to the affectees of LDA City by giving possession of a total of 1553 plots. MohsinNaqvi has also barred the collection of additional development charges. He also announced that passion charges will be nominal and will be collected according to nominal DC rate. On the occasion, a plan was finalised to give 100 temporary Lesco connections in LDA City, while plan for roads, green belt, lighting and security was also prepared for C Block. This important development occurred after directors deputed in LDA City went on leaves for performing Umrah in Saudi Arabia. Director LDA City HafeezUllah presented the plan for giving plots possession to the commissioner a few days after getting the additional charge.
Meanwhile,Punjab Chief Minister MohsinNaqvi has taken notice of the police highhandedness at Doctors’ Hospital in Lahore and made DIG CIA Capt (r) Liaqat Ali Malik an officer on special duty (OSD) on Monday.
As per details, a police party led by the DIG CIA stormed the Doctors’ Hospital and took the hospital staff hostage, broke furniture and equipment, and also snatched the CCTV footage.
Sources said father of Capt (r) Liaqat Ali Malik was admitted to the hospital, where he (DIG) and doctors exchanged hot words after which the senior cop called in police in enforcements.
