Tajikistan’s state-run News Agency has reported that the country has built a temporary camp for Afghan refugees in the south of the Tajik capital Dushanbe.
Situated 150 kilometers to the south of Dushanbe; Sanat area of Sayed Jalaluddin district, the camp has all living facilities for the Afghan refugees now settled in the country.
The camp reportedly has 64 tents wherein each tent has electricity, a kitchen, and a bathroom. Rumors have it that, the temporary camp is built for the Afghan refugees who are settled or want to settle in the country for short time and then move to Canada. Tajikistan is one of the regional countries of Afghanistan where Afghans sought refugees after the collapse of the former Afghan government in August last year.
In the meantime, hundreds of thousands of Afghan moved to Pakistan in recent months in a bid to seek refuge in European countries and the US.—The Prine News
