Pak Sarzameen Party Chairman Syed Mustafa Kamal on Monday said that incompetent and conscienceless rulers have put Pakistan in a very fragile situation both internally and economically, and this pathetic behavior of the successive corrupt governments have also caused trust-deficit amongst the nation towards the overall political system. He expressed these views while addressing the office bearers of PSP Balochistan through a video link. The only way out and forward out of the current situation is to make it mandatory for the provinces to issue the PFC Provincial finance commission award for the districts in the same manner in which the provinces are awarded the National Finance Commission award by the federal government. Like provinces, the autonomy should also be given at the district and city level. Until autonomy, powers and resources are transferred from the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister’s House are not transferred to the lowest level, neither the nation will trust the governments, nor Pakistan would prosper. Kamal further said that the fruits of the 18th constitutional amendment could be reaped only by empowering the people to the lowest level through constitutional reforms. Incomplete amendment is harming the country instead of benefiting it. He said PSP wants to disseminate power to the lowest level so that problems of every nook and corner of the country can be solved, from Gilgit-Baltistan to the most backward areas of Balochistan, the tribes of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the villages of Punjab, the goths of Sindh.
