Bloody encounters between the security forces and the militants in North and South Waziristan tribal districts Saturday late evening resulted in the martyrdom of a man in uniform while two terrorists were also gunned down by the forces.
Reports say the Pakistan Army led security forces conducted clearance operation in the Karama area of the South Waziristan tribal district Saturday evening on the credible information of the presence of the outlaws who offered resistance.
As a shootout between the security forces and the insurgents ensued, a terrorist was gunned down. However, during intense exchange of firing a soldier of the Pakistan Army embraced Shahadat. He was identified as 32-year-old Naik Fazal Janan hailing from Hangu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to military’s media wing another shootout took place in the general area of Razmak in North Waziristan District where the security forces effectively engaged the terrorists’ location and as a result, one terrorist was killed arms and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorist.
