Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami, Senator Sirajul Haq has called for giving Olive Valley status to the Malakand Division, saying there is dire need to utilize agriculture potential of the area for the development of Pakistan. Speaking during a plantation campaign of olive trees in Lower Dir area on Friday, he said the federal and provincial governments should take immediate steps to facilitate the farmers of the Malakand division in gardening of the olive trees.
He said Allah Almighty bestowed Pakistan with enormous natural resources and fertile agriculture land. Sirajul Haq said that country’s agriculture potential had not been utilized properly for decades.
