“The PPP has always prioritized women’s development and empowerment,” Memon said, highlighting that such initiatives align with the party’s core ideology. He stressed that organizing and promoting events for women like the volleyball tournament would encourage the next generation of female athletes.

“We want our young girls to feel inspired and motivated by these events, so they can pursue their dreams and bring pride to our country,” he added. Memon expressed the importance of providing positive opportunities for students and youth, recognizing them as the nation’s future. He congratulated the tournament organizers and affirmed that the Sindh government would continue to support and promote similar activities to ensure a better future for women.

Answering a question, Memon recalled the government’s past initiatives, including promoting women’s hockey, and reiterated that such efforts would continue. He emphasized that the provincial government would work towards establishing a dedicated stadium and academy for women to support their growth in sports. “Our goal is to expand the tournament, with 60 teams competing this year and a target of 120 teams next year,” he said.
