Hamid Shaikh and other members of the delegation expressed gratitude to the Sindh Information Minister while saying that the provincial Information Department in the past too had been helpful for the journalists when Saeed Ghani was the Information Minister in the previous term while the department would continue to serve the media persons in future too.

Saeed Ghani said on the occasion that the Pakistan Peoples’ Party always believed in the concept of a free press in the country as the PPP had always taken special measures to ensure the welfare of the journalists whenever it had come into power.

He said that former prime minister Shaheed Benazir Bhutto had used every forum available to her to raise her voice in the favour of freedom of the media.
