The city police have filed challan in anti-terrorism court in Dua Mangi kidnapping case. The kidnappers were using an Italian phone number for ransom after the abduction of Dua Mangi. The kidnappers kept calling on the parents of the beggar for ransom on WhatsApp. Dua Mangi’s father rescued his daughter after paying Rs 25 lakh ransom, police challan reveals. After the abduction, Dua Mangi was kept in the Ruffy Beach Paradise flat in Clifton. The accused had chained her. The accused said during interrogation that a girl named Bismillah was also kept in the same flat after the abduction. Five accused, including Muzaffar alias Mozi, Zohaib Qureshi, Muhammad Tariq alias Shakeel arrested in the case. In their statement, the accused pleaded guilty to kidnapping. Police recovered 9mm pistol, 30 bore pistol, vehicle, CCTV footage and other important items from the possession of the arrested accused. The court accepted the challan of the case. Further hearing of the case will be held on July 7.
