Shehbaz’s request to include personal doctors in medical board rejected

The Punjab government has rejected Opposition Leader in National Assembly and Pakistan Muslim League president Shehbaz Sharif’s request to include his personal doctors in the medical board constituted for the medical examination of the former Punjab chief minister.
The Punjab government has constituted a four-member medical board that will be chaired by Neurosurgeon Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood for the medical examination of the opposition leader. The Health and the Prison Departments have also issued a notification in the regard. The medical board examined the blood samples and radiological tests of Shehbaz Sharif. However, Shehbaz Sharif refused to tell the medical board regarding his medical history. The opposition leader was not satisfied with the medical board and has asked the authorities to include Oncologist and Endocrinologist on the board as he is a cancer patient. He also demanded of the government to include his personal doctors from Ittefaq Hospital Dr Arif, Dr Nusratullah and Dr Aqeel Babri in the medical board. However, the Punjab government has rejected his demand and remained stick with the four-member panel it constituted for the medical examination of Shehbaz Sharif.
