Shab-e-Baraat observed in IIOJK with religious gaiety

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Shab-e-Baraat was observed with religious gaiety and fervour.

Night-long vigil and prayers were held on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday across all major masjids.

Devotees thronged mosques and shrines to pray and participate in the recitation of the Quran-e-Majeed, while preachers and religious scholars highlighted the importance of the night and the teachings of Islam.

‘Shab-e-Barat’ is observed by Muslims on the intervening night of 14th and 15th Sha’ban the eighth month of the Islamic calendar.—KMS
