District Administration and police have finalized all kind of arrangements including security to celebrate Independence Day with enthusiasm and fervor in the district. Flag hoisting ceremony will held at district complex at 8.30 AM where Deputy Commissioner Umer Farooq Warriach will unfurled National Flag. Government officers, officials, social workers, civil society and other people will participate in the flag hoisting ceremony while all government buildings will be illuminated with colorful lights at night and a musical show will also be held at 8 pm in family park Hafizabad.
Chief Executive Officer Education Hafizabad Sohail Azhar Khan told that different programmes ware being held in government educational institutions to celebrate the day. Different NGOs, political and religious parties, literary societies, traders are also be holding different functions in this regards.
According to police spokesman, District Police have made special security arrangements to maintain peace in the district on Independence Day and more than 300 police officers and officials will perform security duty whereas police have setup special picket to contain one wheeling and tumult.
