SAP aims to bring positive change in the lives of people

SAP’s Senior Vice President Middle East and North Africa, Ahmed Al -Faifi, on his visit to Pakistan, attended The Future Summit 6th Edition, organized by the Nutshell Group in Karachi.

Expressing his views about digitization and transforming Pakistan’s public sector enterprises during the Summit, Ahmed Al-Faifi highlighted that Pakistan is blessed with a large group of dynamic youth. That given, digital literacy can be a huge asset. Pakistan can leverage SAP platforms to provide an enabling environment and contribute to the country’s economy.

“Technology is there to help you grow economically and professionally; it focuses on transforming processes by keeping a track of technology trends. The objective of SAP is to make the life of their customers easy.”

Highlighting the importance of education, Al-Faifi said that societies that strive to educate their people and focus on the right resource mobilizations will be leaders of the future. These societies target a better life for all, which is also the objective of SAP as an organization. He asserted that technology has no geographical identity; it is global and for all to benefit from it. He was happy to see that Pakistan is steadily moving towards Artificial Intelligence; the market is bound to evolve and become a potential investment sector for international technology players. During his visit, Ahmed Al-Faifi met with eminent personalities to further the scope of SAP Pakistan; he had a meeting with Secretary Railways, Mazhar Ali Shah to discuss the completion of Phase One and agenda of Phase 2 for the digital transformation of Pakistan Railways.

Accompanied by Saquib Ahmad, Country Managing Director, SAP Pakistan, Ahmed Al-Faifi also met with Chairman HEC, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, about the new initiative for enrolling young university students for IT trainings across Pakistan. Ahmed Al-Faifi reiterated SAP’s agenda of providing free technology training to students, with an aim to impart skills that are key to the technology sector’s growth.
