Salman Ghani’s laurels celebrated at UO

A seminar was organized by the University of Okara’s (UO) Department of Media & Communication Studies (DMCS) to commemorate the veteran journalist Salman Ghani’s laurel of becoming the beneficiary of the Presidential Pride of Performance.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Javaid Akhtar, chaired the seminar, while Salman Ghani being the Chief Guest. The Pro VC, Prof Dr Muhammad Wajid, and numerous faculty members, administrative officers and representative of Okara’s civil society were also present at the eve.

In his opening remarks, the In-charge DMCS, Dr Zahid Bilal, highlighted the accomplishments of Salman Ghani and salient features of his department. He also said, “This interaction will enable the students of journalism to learn from the expertise of Ghani and excel in their careers.” He urged the students to develop not only advanced skills but also a positive and patriotic mindset. The VC, in his address, congratulated Salman Ghani for his remarkable achievement.
