The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter Convener, Mehmood Ahmed Saghar, has urged the United Nations and international human rights organizations to take notice of Indian atrocities in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mehmood Ahmed Saghar in a statement in Islamabad deplored that the Indian forces’ personnel were continuing genocide of the Kashmiris to turn the Muslim-majority territory into a minority.
He said India cannot change the internationally-recognized disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir through its cruel tactics and urged New Delhi to abandon its oppressive policy towards Kashmir and give the Kashmiris their inalienable right to self-determination.
Mehmood Ahmed Saghar said old false cases are being reopened against the Hurriyat activists to intimidate and harass them.
He said it is high time that the world community must intervene and force India to stop its state terrorism in IIOJK and settle the lingering Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN resolutions and Kashmiris’ aspirations.—KMS
