The exchange rate of Pakistan rupee depreciated by 23 paisas against the US dollar in interbank trading on Friday and closed at Rs 163.45 as compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs 163.227.
According to Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs 163.4 and Rs 164.4 respectively.
Similarly, the price of euro was depreciated by 14 paisas and closed at Rs 193.03 against the last day’s trading of Rs 193.17, the State Bank of Pakistan reported.
The Japanese Yen remained unchanged to close at Rs 1.48, whereas an increase of 48 paisas was wit-nessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs 227.56 as compared to its last clos-ing of Rs 227.08.
The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal increased by 06 paisas each to close at Rs 44.49 and Rs 43.58 respectively.—APP
